Privacy, plainly.
The public site is intentionally light on tracking and does not use advertising technology.
Public visits
The initial analytics system records the page path, a random browser-session identifier, broad device category and referring domain. It does not collect a public visitor’s name, email address or precise location. The session identifier is stored only for the current browser session.
Protected editor
The admin area uses Sign in with ChatGPT and an explicit owner allowlist. The authenticated email is used only to decide whether the editor can be opened and to attribute editorial changes.
Uploaded media
Photos uploaded by an authorised editor are stored with their filename, media type, alternative text and related place record. They are not shared outside the published site.
Maps and venue links
Venue pages can load a map from OpenStreetMap, or from Google Maps when that service is configured. Opening an embedded map or following an external venue, booking or map link lets that provider receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address and referring page. Camtable does not request your browser’s precise location. When Google information is enabled, Google processes that use under its Privacy Policy.
Advertising
Camtable currently carries no ads and loads no advertising trackers. If that changes, this page and the consent approach will be updated before ad technology is enabled.
