Why it stands out
The original Bould Brothers is small, central and unusually focused. Max and Alex Bould opened it in December 2016 with an explicit aim: bring excellent coffee and service to Cambridge. The company’s own account is refreshingly direct about the craft—careful sourcing, trained baristas and consistency—while the Round Church Street position puts it moments from St John’s College. Come for coffee rather than an all-day café menu and the proposition makes perfect sense.
